Karen has a passion for photography. Her interest started as early as age 12 when her father let her use the family camera, a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye. Today she uses a Canon digital camera to capture the world around her with an amazing perspective.  

In 1995, Karen had her first experience with Reiki when she met Libby Barnett. Since that time, Karen has completed an extensive training programs and completed mastery in many healing modalities. She is a fully insured and registered Reiki Master Teacher.

Karen is a native of New Hampshire. She is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire in Durham. Karen was a part of the UNH Yearbook staff  and contributed her photography to the publication. She also has a long work history (over 30 years) in human services, working with the disabled citizens of New Hampshire. Karen is a published poet and read one of her poems on the radio program "Here and Now". The poem was called "Ode to December."
