Ode to December

In December, the pace of life quickens.

The plot of our shopping adventures thickens.

At night, the holiday lights sparkle and dance.

We shop for gifts that offer the lure of romance.



Our holiday cards must be just right.

Some we send from a holiday greeting website.

Our traditions & symbols in our homes abound.

We sing carols and pray with a joyous sound.



Religious practices may vary.

But in our heart it is joy we carry.

December is the last month of the year

But remember to be first in offering good cheer.
